  • Take the Metromover

Do you want to explore Miami? The best way to do so is by taking a free ride on the Metromover around town. It’s also the perfect mode of transportation for a fun bar crawl with a group of friends. Designated drivers need not apply!

  • Take a bike ride around Wynwood

Every Sunday at 11 am, BYOBIKE offers free one-hour bike ride tours of Wynwood artist owned and operated mural and graffiti displays. Bring a friend and make a day of it!

  • Live music every night

Yes, you read that right! Enjoy live music every night at Bayside Marketplace in downtown Miami on the Marina stage. There is always a musical variety ranging from Latin to pop and everything in between.  While your there, you might want to check out the other sightseeing attractions like Bayside Tours, Island Queen Cruises, Miami Aqua Tours, and Thriller Speed Boat.

  • Get fancy at Sugar

After a great day of bike rides and Cuban food, step it up in the evening with a cocktail in the sky at a rooftop bar with 360° views of the city.

Sugar is the tallest bar in the city at 40 floors up, amongst a garden of green foliage. Take in breathtaking views of the surrounding area as you relax in the Tea Room. Looking to celebrate the 4th in style? Miami offers a variety of options, so you’ll have plenty of Independence Day celebrations to choose from. From colorful fireworks to luxury spa visits, you’ll spend your Independence Day weekend on cruise control far from the cares of work and school.

Lucky for you, we’ve made a list of the best Miami events July has to offer. So, get out your calendar and get ready to take some notes! You might want to extend your celebration this Fourth of July!

Independence Day Celebrations

One of the largest fireworks celebrations in South Florida is back and better than ever! Held at Bayfront Park, America’s Birthday Bash presented by Budweiser is the place to be.

Start your morning off with a free yoga class sponsored by Baptist Health from 9 am to 10:15 pm. And since this is a family-friendly event, bring everyone. The Kids Zone, complete with pony rides and bouncers, is scheduled to start at 3 pm until 7 pm. You can’t forget to stay for food vendors, music, and an extravagant firework display starting at 9 pm.

Did we mention the variety? Check out the Fire on the Fourth festival on the beach at North Shore Park Bandshell, sponsored by Coca Cola and Hotwire. This family-friendly event starts with a free yoga class with an ocean view and continues with a Kids Zone with music, food, live entertainment, and fireworks at 9 pm. Take advantage of the free shuttle service from 11 am to 11 pm, available every 30 minutes.

If it’s more entertainment you are looking for, look no further than the Miccosukee Freedom festival. This free event features wrestling alligators, rising country music stars, water slides, food, airboat rides, and of course, fireworks. Bring the whole family for a fun Fourth of July celebration to Miccosukee Resort and Gaming from 10 am to 10 pm.

One of the hottest acts in the western hemisphere and most influential Latin performer in the US, the actress, dancer, and singer has an estimated global record sales number of 80 million. This is a must-see concert!

Don’t forget to make room in your schedule for the four-time Grammy winner, British singer, songwriter, and artist — Sam Smith. Also a Golden Globe winner, Smith has released new music with Normani, with over 200 million Youtube views. He will be performing at the American Airlines Arena on July 14th as part of the Thrill of it All Tour.

The Overtown Music & Arts festival is perfect for everyone. It features live music from world-renowned recording artists, great food, and art. Past year performers featured Tito Puente Jr., K’ Michelle, Monica, Ceelo Green, and Kelly Price, just to name a few. This free event held in historic Overtown from 11 am to 7 pm, is a celebration of economic redevelopment and progression of a historically black community.
